So, I know everyone feels like they need more feedback. So... let's give some. What do you like about my pup? What do you think could be improved? What things about them do you not understand that you'd like elaborated on?

To add to that, is there anything you feel I should be doing that I'm not, or any particular direction you'd like to see me go in? Is there something I've been woefully neglecting that needs remedied?

Like usual, anon commenting enabled, IP off, screened, blah blah.

Okay, so. My writing has been woefully lacking of late and I want to try and fix this. My schedule has been crap lately and not given me much time to myself, but I want to at least try getting back into writing.

So! This is where you come in with the drabble meme that was going around FOREVER AGO but I've only just gotten around to. And which you'll all hate me for because my music selection is like on crack BUT TOO BAD

And yes, I'm aware that some of these songs probably won't work, seeing as they're rather specific (I'm looking at you, Hymn of the Fayth), but uh ... that's my iPod for you.

You all know the drill by now

1. Put your mp3 player on shuffle and take the first 25 songs it gives you.
2. Link to the lyrics.
3. Let your friends assign you a song and character(s) to write a drabble to.

Would you like me to include your muse?:

Thank you to everyone who voted for me at the arpea_awards. Coming home from work and seeing them made me smile.

And congratulations to all the wonderful writers and RPers who earned awards. You're all absolutely beautiful and deserve as much recognition as possible.

There's a funny thing about TARDISes -- or, at least, this specific TARDIS, who has lived through a Time War and seen the end of the greatest race to ever exist. Her brothers and sisters weren't much different, but this one TARDIS, she took this funny fact to new heights.

Because, as I'll explain, TARDISes? Are very jealous, very vindictive, very cruel creatures sometimes, and this TARDIS -- the Doctor's TARDIS -- was particularly so. She had to be, because her pilot was an idiot. A wonderful, brilliant, incredibly loved idiot, but an idiot nonetheless. And on occasion, he needed reminding of just how big an idiot he was.

Like now. (Contains minor spoilers for the three-minute End of Time clip from Children in NeedCollapse )

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. - Martin Luther King

Where are you going?

When will you be back?

Do you not want to stay?

Why are you acting this way?

Are you well?

What is taking so long?

What changed you?

Will I ever see you again…?

She stopped asking after the first fifty years, when each question was met with angry retorts or, worse, silence. She stopped asking when it became apparent asking was pointless. She didn’t stop caring, of course, but the words and the reasons didn’t correlate anymore.

So instead of asking, she simply talked – and remembered.Collapse )

Apparently I'm only capable of writing out memes lately orz

Inspiration, wherefore art thou?

If you read this, even if we don't speak often, please leave a comment to this post with a memory you have of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad. Once you've left a comment, post this little paragraph on your journal and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you. Any 'verse, point in canon or random encounter between you and me is welcome.

There were ghosts in the hallways.

She could hear them whispering as she made her way toward her room, each breathy puff of air caressing her cheek or brushing intimately against her hand. She frowned thoughtfully, pausing long enough to listen, attempting to catch a word here or a phrase there, but they never did more than breathe.

It was always like this, though it had taken some time to grow accustomed to. When one was as old as this ship, there had to be lingering thoughts and emotions. She'd first passed it off as her imagination taking root among a place that could only exist in dreams, but after a year of walking these halls, she now simply tried to hear them and understand where they came from.

Another breath whispered across her skin and she shivered.Collapse )

Sorry for disappearing on everyone. I was a mite MIA over the weekend since I had a guest and then went to a kickin' divorce party for a friend. I'm still gonna be mostly gone until Friday, so I figured I'd be nice this time and give a heads up.

If anyone has anything they want me to read or a thread or post they want me to tag, please leave a link here! I'll have time throughout the week to sneak on a bit, but my browsing will probably be hindered and I don't want to miss an awesome story or post.

You guys keep rockin'! And I promise I'll get back to that writing meme ambitious_woman started orz. I haven't forgotten it, promise!
